Karen has a vast background in both print media and radio. She has been a natural fit to head up our team of writers and coordinates each show. Karen is in charge of affiliate relations, co-ordinates special events, giveaways and is promotional director. She is also the voice of the ZONE news segment on the show.

John contributes
a monthly segment, "Remembering Gospel Music History" to the Southern Styles
Show. He's been collecting records since he was 10 years old. John's
collection is very eclectic ranging from classical, pop, beach, country, to
blues . . . but his main love is old gospel music.

Originally from Ontario, Canada, Lorraine Walker has been interested and involved in Southern Gospel Music since the mid-80's. Lorraine writes a column for the www.SGMRadio.com website called “Reality Check”. She also writes artist features for the SGM Radio website and has interviewed such artists as Tim Surrett, Kenny Bishop, Mark Trammell, Kim Hopper, Karen Peck, and Jonathon Martin, among others. Bringing together her enjoyment of Southern Gospel and her passion for writing, Lorraine has a blast contributing to the Southern Styles Show.

Having been involved in Southern Gospel Music
as both singer and songwriter since 1974, Sylvia Green has a vast knowledge
of "behind-the-scenes" trivia that listeners are sure to enjoy. Sylvia
presently sings with gospel group "The Bradys", does a one hour radio
segment on WVOB radio in Dothan, Alabama a few days a week, and
continues to write songs. "Here I Am" (former Song of The
Year-recorded by The Hoppers) has proven to be her most popular song to
date. Sylvia is single, loves to cook, plays golf occasionally, and believe
it or not...collects knives!

Jennifer Cote': Associate Producer ![]() |
Jennifer is the resident chef and cookbook author on the show. She can be heard once a month on the show sharing her great recipes. Jennifer along with her husband, Tom, has run their own eatery, The New Deli, for over 21 years. They have spent much time in the kitchen, honing skills and coming up with favorite recipes for their patrons. "From The Land Of Milk And Honey" is the fruit of Jennifer's labor; a cookbook/devotional full of great recipes, scripture, and insight into daily living as a Christian.
